Athletics Canada is pleased to announce that it has acquired the rights to broadcast the 2016 IAAF Half Marathon Championships, this Saturday March 26 and that the event will be streamed live on AthleticsCanada.tv.

“A major part of the AthleticsCanada.tv strategy is to continue to expand content, bringing more live and on-demand athletics to viewers,” said Mathieu Gentès, Director of Public Relations and Corporate Services. “We’re very excited to bring a first IAAF World Athletics Series event to AthleticsCanada.tv.” 

The Canadian team features Canadian women’s Marathon record holder Lanni Marchant, 2012 marathon Olympian Reid Coolsaet and 2013 World Championships team member Rob Watson.

10:10 a.m. ET / 14:10

The IAAF Half Marathon Championships team is funded in partnership with Athletics Canada’s national 10km (Ottawa Race Weekend), Half Marathon (Calgary Marathon) and Marathon (Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon) road Championships in Ottawa, Calgary and Toronto respectively.
