Geoffrey Kamworor Looking to Follow Up New York City Marathon Win With Third Straight IAAF World Half Marathon Championships TitleBy Adam Kopet Geoffrey Kamworor won the TCS New York City Marathon earlier this month in only the third marathon of his career. According to Athanas Kipchumba and Stanley Magut of the Star, Kamworor is now turning his sights toward winning his third straight IAAF World Half Marathon Championships title in March. In 2016, Kamworor fell at the start of the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in Cardiff and came back to win, defending his 2014 title. Since then, Kamworor has added a second IAAF World Cross Country Championships win earlier this year. Kamworor has a half marathon personal best of 58:54 from 2013. That ranks him 10th all-time at the distance. He is a current training partner of Eliud Kipchoge, Olympic marathon champion and third fastest marathoner ever.
